The Unemployment Insurance Modernization Act offers federal funding to states that update their unemployment insurance systems by expanding coverage for low-wage workers, temporary employees, and the long-term unemployed. This bill provides much needed support for current and aspiring middle-class Americans working to get themselves back on their feet after losing a job.
